The fourth implementation review and support mission for the Modern Food Storage Facilities Project (MFSP)

The fourth implementation review and support mission for the Modern Food Storage Facilities Project (MFSP) took place from September 21 to 29, 2016. The main objectives of the mission were to: (i) review overall implementation status and progress towards meeting the project development objectives and disbursement targets; (ii) provide specific technical assistance to the project management unit for some key MFSFP consultant assignments (e.g. Design and Construction Supervision; Household Silos Distribution; Food Policy Research Program); (iii) Support the Project Management Unit (PMU) in all aspects of fiduciary and safeguards compliance; and (iv) analyze key constraints to the performance of the project and agree to measures with Government to accelerate implementation and disbursement of the project.

The mission held a series of meetings with the authorities. A wrap-up meeting with DG Food and DG FPMU, chaired by Mr.A.M.  Badrudduza, Secretary, Ministry of Food, took place on September 28, 2016 to present the main outcomes of the mission and review the draft aide memoire. This Aide Memoire summarizes the discussions and agreements reached during the mission between the World Bank team and the MFSP PMU.
